about
This is the 4th track from the 21 Weeks series and is inspired by the recent and longstanding deaths, murders and suicides of young people for being, accused and constantly berated for being gay and the homophobia and hypocrisy that aid in the ending of lives. It is also address an idea of sustainable action in regard to injustice within the black community.
lyrics
Mr. Refined/ he don’t mind if he says so
If you live like they living / you ain’t living at all
And if there ever was a day and I had the gall
I would stand as a man and deliver us all
But then I woke up and I saw the morning paper
And these bugs climbed up my spine/ and they don’t wanna shake off
CHORUS
Blah Blah Blah
And blee p bleep bleep
Wahwhahwah
Oh well!!
(2x)
Mr. Officer/ is there something wrong with my swagga
Cause it got you in a stir / and your bullets just kinda slip out
And when they let you go (again)
My people are gonna flip out
Cause when the dust all clear
Things gone be sweeter / no doubt
And then I peek down from a cloud / sometime later
Ain’t no body upset but me /I guess hell has frozen over
Chorus
